The Passing Show is a nod to the theater of every day life, a love letter to the idea that every sidewalk is a stage, every street a story, and down every aisle a runway.
People pass through these spaces, on their way somewhere. Some in a hurry, some with nowhere to go. Some oblivious to the rest of society, some annoyed with their fellow travelers. And some put on a show.
I love them all equally, but for different reasons.
In this great shuffle of humanity, people pass by my lens. If I’m lucky, they’re distracted—and for a fleeting moment, I catch them being themselves.
That’s the shot.
